AppSumo… seriously? You bring this turkey back?
Both AdYouNeed and its sister platform, AdCreative, made promises that were ultimately left unfulfilled. Users found that the platforms were mostly abandoned after launch, with only occasional functionality but more frequent failures. This inconsistent performance reflects poorly on the commitment to product reliability.
Development on AdYouNeed was sporadic at best, with updates happening irregularly and without clear direction. More troubling was the near-total lack of customer support, which left many users frustrated and without recourse when problems arose. One notable issue was a promised free upgrade in exchange for a positive review—a promise that was never honored, further damaging trust in the company’s integrity.
AppSumo’s decision to bring AdYouNeed back onto its marketplace calls into question how thoroughly it vets the products it promotes. This move suggests a decline in AppSumo’s ability or willingness to verify the legitimacy and reliability of platforms before endorsing them. Such oversights risk damaging AppSumo’s reputation and exposing its user base to subpar or even unreliable products.
