Q: AgenticFlow vs ActivePieces & n8n?

Could you detail the unique value of AgenticFlow vs n8n and ActivePieces?

We use ActivePieces extensively but are close to exhausting our LTD’s monthly credits. We are debating paying for more ActivePieces vs spinning up an n8n server vs buying a new LTD like AgenticFlow.

I have had a hard time seeing the substantive, concrete features and functions in AgneticFlow that aren’t replicable in n8n or ActivePieces. I have a glimmer of an idea about what they might be but the videos I have seen all seem pitched to people with little automation experience.

Can you get into the details a bit about what makes AgenticFlow unique? (and please if you’re going to lean on the term “agents”, be very specific about what you mean by it — everyone these days us using that phrase for anything that has even simple branching logic…). Thanks!

A: Hey RW90! Awesome question, and totally get needing clarity when comparing automation tools, especially with LTDs involved.

Here’s the short version of what makes AgenticFlow different from great workflow tools like ActivePieces & n8n:

1. Agent-First Architecture: We built AgenticFlow from the ground up with AI Agents (Level 4) at the core. This means agents don't just follow a fixed path like in standard workflows (Level 3 - what n8n/AP excel at); they can intelligently choose and use tools (via our 2500+ MCPs) based on your plain English instructions. It's less about manual wiring, more about delegation.

2. Clear Path to Advanced AI: Because we're agent-native, we have a seamless path to more complex AI systems. Multi-Agent orchestration (Level 5 - manager agent delegating to sub-agents) is coming as a Tier 4 add-on, and we're even developing fully autonomous agents (Level 6) internally. This future-proofing isn't typically the core focus of traditional workflow platforms.

3. Powered by Proven Infrastructure: AgenticFlow runs on the same Pixel ML AI runtime and OpenRouter that powers apps with over 1.5 million users (like Quick QR Art). This means you get enterprise-grade scalability, reliability, and efficient model access baked in, not just a workflow engine.

Think of it this way: n8n/ActivePieces are fantastic for automating tasks you define step-by-step. AgenticFlow lets you automate outcomes by giving goals to AI agents that can figure out the steps using a vast array of tools.

Hope that helps position us a bit better! Let me know if you want to dive deeper on any specific feature.

Thanks. That’s very helpful.
The L5 & L6 add-ons: will they be available as one time payment add ons for LTD holders or will they be recurring charges?
And wiil it only be available at T4 of the AS LTD? T1-3 won’t be able to access L5 or L6 at all?

Hey RW90! L5 (Multi-Agent) is planned as a one-time add-on, currently set for Tier 4 purchasers only. L6 (Autonomous) is still in the lab and pretty expensive to run right now (think ~$20/task!), so if we offer it later, it'd likely be BYOK-based. We are listening to the community feedback about Tier 3 access for L5 on the roadmap!
