A: Hey Michael,

Great question! You absolutely don't need a Pipedream account specifically to use MCPs with AgenticFlow.

AgenticFlow is an officially approved MCP Client (by Anthropic, who created the standard). This means we work with any platform that offers compliant MCP servers. While Pipedream was an early provider, many others are now available, including major players like:

- Zapier: https://zapier.com/mcp
- Make: https://developers.make.com/mcp-server
- ActivePieces: https://www.activepieces.com/mcp
- Composio: https://mcp.composio.dev/

How to Connect (Step-by-Step Guide - General Process):

1. Choose Your MCP Provider: Decide which platform (Zapier, Make, Composio, etc.) you want to use to connect the specific app (e.g., Google Sheets, Slack).

2. Follow Provider's Instructions: Go to the chosen provider's MCP setup page (using the links above or their documentation). Follow their specific instructions to authenticate the app you want to connect (e.g., log into your Google Sheets account via their interface).

3. Get the MCP Server URL: Once you've connected the app on their platform, they will provide you with a unique MCP Server URL. Copy this URL.

4. Add URL to AgenticFlow:
Go to the MCP section in your AgenticFlow dashboard (https://agenticflow.ai/app/mcp).
Click on "Add Server URL".
Paste the MCP Server URL you copied from your provider.
Give it a descriptive name (e.g., "Zapier Google Sheets").
Click Save.

5. Equip Your Agent: Now, when building or editing an Agent in AgenticFlow, you can add the tools/actions provided by that MCP server. The agent can then use those tools based on your natural language instructions.

The process within AgenticFlow (steps 4 & 5) is the same regardless of the provider. The main difference is how you generate the MCP Server URL from the provider (steps 1-3), which you'll find in their respective documentation linked above.

Hope this helps you get connected! Let me know if you have trouble with a specific provider.

Best,
Sean
