Promising AI Agent Platform, But Needs Polish Before It’s Ready
I purchased AgenticFlow through AppSumo because I was excited by its promise of no-code AI agents and image generation. While there’s clear potential here, several rough edges make it more of a beta preview than a polished, ready-to-use tool.
1. Image Downloading and Quality
- Currently, the only way to save generated images is by right-clicking and downloading a low-resolution WebP. There’s no native “Download” button or option for higher-quality PNG/JPEG exports. Spending credits on images only to get a blurry web preview feels like a missed basic feature.
2. Onboarding and Tutorials
- The onboarding process is confusing, with only brief demo videos recorded in poor audio quality. For a company that already has products in market, I expected professional tutorials—better microphones, clear step-by-step guides, or even a simple Fiverr edit job. A more thorough onboarding would save new users hours of trial and error.
3. File Upload and Agent Inputs
- You can only upload images in the chat. There’s no support for text, PDF, CSV, or Markdown directly in the conversation. You can add these files to the library, but then agents can use them—which introduces extra steps. If you want the agent to compare two blog posts or analyse a PDF, you’ll waste time shuttling files in and out. Uploading text-based documents directly in chat would be far more efficient.
4. Learning Curve and Stability
- Building workflows takes patience: linking prompts, configuring agent steps, and troubleshooting API issues can take hours. The “bring your own key” (BYOK) feature isn’t available yet—it’s under development—so you must purchase credits on PixelML, AgenticFlow’s own LLM service. That works, but it should be clear up front. I encountered intermittent errors that forced me to switch LLMs or wait for support.
5. Founder Engagement and Roadmap
- A major positive is the founder’s responsiveness. He reached out personally to clarify that BYOK is coming and walked me through the current PixelML credit system. He’s active on Discord and YouTube, and genuinely committed to improvements. However, the roadmap feels overly ambitious, with small but critical features—image downloads, better tutorials, direct file uploads—still missing.
Bottom Line
AgenticFlow shows real promise as a no-code agent builder. The interface is intuitive once you get past the initial hurdles, and the founder’s hands-on support is a rare plus. But right now, the platform still feels like a rough beta: basic image downloads, better onboarding, stable API integrations, and richer file support are must-have features before I’d call it “ready to go.” If you’re comfortable with trial-and-error and want direct access to an engaged founder, AgenticFlow is worth a look. If you need a polished, time-saving agent solution today, you might want to wait—or compare it to alternatives like Genspark or Manus, which trade off cost for ease of use.
Rating: 6.5/10—great potential, needs refinement before scaling up.

May 21, 2025Hey Chrissumo12,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed, thoughtful, and honest review! We truly appreciate you sharing your experience – both the excitement for the potential and the candid feedback on the areas where we need to polish. You've hit on some really important points.
It’s feedback like yours that helps us steer this ship. We’re a small, dedicated team with a big vision, and sometimes that means we get ahead of ourselves with ambitious features while needing to circle back and refine the core experience. Think of it like an early version of a "Tesla" – the groundbreaking tech is there, the vision for the future is clear, but some of the initial fit and finish needs that extra craftsmanship and iteration.
We’re fully committed to that craftsmanship. Here’s what we’ve been working on, inspired directly by community feedback like yours:
1. Image Downloading & Quality: You're 100% right. We're actively working on a native "Download" button for generated images with options for higher-quality PNG/JPEG exports. This is a priority.
2. Onboarding & Tutorials: Point taken. We’re already in the process of producing clearer, more professional step-by-step tutorial videos with better audio. Our goal is to significantly reduce that initial learning curve.
3. File Uploads & Agent Inputs: Good news here! Direct PDF, TXT, DOCX, and MD file uploads into an Agent's Knowledge Base are now live as part of our recent Data section revamp. This should make it much easier for agents to analyze documents directly. We're also looking at how to make in-chat file handling more seamless.
4. Learning Curve & Stability (including BYOK):
- BYOK is Available: Just to clarify, Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) for major LLMs like OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini) is currently available in the "Connections" section. This allows you to use your own keys and not rely solely on Pixel ML OpenRouter credits for those specific providers. We need to make this clearer in onboarding!
We're continuously working on improving platform stability and making workflow building more intuitive. The recent Workflow engine upgrade should address some of the intermittent errors.
5. Roadmap & Critical Features: We hear you. While the long-term vision is exciting, we're re-focusing efforts to ensure these critical usability features (like image downloads, better tutorials, smoother file handling) are robust. Your feedback directly influences our sprint priorities.
You've captured the essence of where we are: a platform with immense potential, driven by a passionate and engaged team (and I'm genuinely grateful for the chance to connect directly with users like you!). We're not a massive corporation; we're builders who believe in an AI-native future, and we're iterating as fast as we can.
This AppSumo launch is invaluable for us precisely because of reviews like yours – it helps us understand what real users need to succeed. We're committed to polishing AgenticFlow into the powerful, intuitive OS for your AI Workforce that we envision, and that you rightly expect.
Thanks again for your support, your constructive criticism, and for being part of this early journey with us. We're listening and building.
Best,
Sean
