Q: Inbound Email

Howdy,

Very interested for support email to an engineering team, but trying to understand how inbound emails work. Does airfive log into the email account and retrieve messages or do we forward the messages to airfive? Hoping it's both or the second option for forwarding the messages (have some security requirements that prevent the ability for logging into our email system externally).

A: Howdy captain!! Gotta love that greeting! Lol. So how it works is we have some set of tags essentially. And those tags get applied based on what the ai deems to be a “bug,” then you can push that automatic tagged email straight to your task manager of choice and then alert via slack or whatever to your engineers etc. at a basic level after you connect an email it just retrieves emails every 15 min or so. Unless you manually press the “refresh” button. You got it. It essentially forwards those emails to the airfive unibox. It doesn’t “log in” ;) good questions!!
