Extremely Disappointed – Price Hike with No Real Notice & Poor Support

I purchased the AppMySite deal via AppSumo on 14th June 2023, along with the “1 AppSumo Publish Addon” for $9/year. It auto-renewed as expected in June 2024 for $9.

However, on 14th June 2025, it auto-renewed for $108 – without my knowledge or consent. Even worse, the invoice description quietly changed from "AppSumo Publish Addon" to "Feature Addons."

I emailed them on the same day asking what the charge was for and requesting a refund. They responded on the 16th saying:

“As per our subscription policy, all active add-ons are automatically renewed unless cancelled in advance.”

I replied asking for the subject line of the renewal notice—I couldn’t find any such email among the 70+ marketing emails they send. They then replied on the 18th, justifying the 12x price increase with vague improvements and saying:

“The price revision reflects our continued investment… The adjustment was made after careful consideration…”

No acknowledgment of how drastic the price change was, or that I asked for a refund the same day.

Also worth noting: the new price works out to $9/month, which matches the old $9/year format. In my opinion, this could mislead users into thinking nothing changed when it very much did. I can't prove this was intentional, but given their refusal to offer a same-day refund, it leaves a bad taste.

This feels deceptive, and support has been completely unhelpful. I can no longer recommend AppMySite, and I’ve lost trust in the platform. Proceed with caution.
