I am sorry for the late reply, I usually respond withing a day but somehow I missed your question.
1) Yes, you can manually add links and keywords where you want that link to appear. There are many options that will let the plugin know how many links you want to display per post, how many times each link can appear, how many times each keyword can appear.
2) Yes. There are several ways you can limit where the links are displayed. You can choose the post types you want to display the links on. You can exclude posts from specific categories and you can exclude posts by ID. There will be a custom options box that will appear on the post or page edit screen that will let you exclude that post from showing links.
