Q: Hosted on a serious server?

Today your SSL cert expired for few hours from 1am onwards. It looks like Let's encrypt's free cert was being used! These are typically issue for only 3 months at a time.

No way to reach support other than community forum
No server status links on the website

Since you'll be hosting massive amount of data, do you have a disaster recovery plan in place?

A: Hi CK, thank you for raising this, and I completely understand your concern.

We sincerely apologize for the SSL certificate lapse earlier. It was caused by a renewal misconfiguration, which has since been resolved. We've already conducted an internal review and are implementing server health monitoring via Betterstack, along with a public status page coming soon. We're also using Bika's own automation to set up internal expiry reminders moving forward.

As for your data: Bika.ai is hosted on Google Cloud, which offers a secure infrastructure and built-in redundancy. We're also in the process of adding multi-region disaster recovery backups to further enhance resilience.

Currently, due to the AppSumo campaign, support is primarily handled through the community and AppSumo comments — but we do plan to expand support channels after the campaign ends.
