AITable Fan & Looking Forward to Bika.ai

I am an AITable user and have appreciated the generous usage, customizability, functionality, and database structure.

I am also excited about Bika.ai. It is still underdevelopment, but the vision is absolutely game-changing. The BIG difference between Bika.ai and everything else (including AITable and AirTable) is that you can have up to 1 billion records of data in each table! That is a big deal. Additionally, the built-in automations are practical and easy to follow; and you can even autogenerate regular reports from the system.

Opportunities
I think Bika.ai can be improve if they:
✅ accelerate implementation of foundational functionality, especially ones AITable users expect (e.g. field types such as one-way sync, cascader, button, etc.)
✅ allowed grouping within a table based on connected data from another sheet
✅ had a way to import from AITable while maintaining all the previous relationships between tables and field types OR provide a direct integration with AITable
✅ allow the AI chat to provide answers based on table data and not just recommendations on where to look for the data.

I think they may have done themselves a disservice with the AppSumo community by releasing this too soon - without enough functionality to fully implement. Additionally, the communication with AITable users was not clear that you can transition to Bika.ai for free based on the tier you previously purchased. I am giving this 5-stars based on the potential and will add an update if there seems to be a disconnect with implementation.

Early Stage - High Potential

I was originally focused on the number of coming soon buttons .. but, 1) this is investing in an early stage product and 2) I have now spent some time using Bika to build out some internal flows. The best description I can come up with is that it is like a Trello deck with a powerful engine driving flows. I will spend more time to hook up Bika to other tools to see how much work we can offload (this has to be the main metric from my own perspective) .. but at the moment even in early stages, Bika will be very busy with content related processes but I see it doing much more as it matures. As a side note, the support team have been very patient and responsive.

I like it and hoping to see it improve

It is still early stage and it’s understandable, I hope they will release pably connect soon because I don’t have zapier( too expensive) overall I know it’s gonna get better in time so I got tier 3. Overall I like the idea behind it!

Confusing and Unfinished

I purchased Bika.ai because it looked promising and seemed to offer solutions to many challenges. The concept seemed intriguing, and I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately, my experience with the platform didn’t live up to my expectations.

The user interface was confusing and not intuitive at all. I spent hours trying to understand how it worked or what it could actually do for me, but I couldn’t figure it out. It felt like I was constantly guessing instead of using the tool effectively. This made the entire experience frustrating and difficult.

On top of that, many features were marked as “coming soon,” leaving the current version feeling incomplete and underdeveloped. While I understand that these things take time, the product felt like it had been rushed to release before it was truly ready. It simply wasn’t functional enough to justify keeping it.

In the end, I decided to refund my purchase because I couldn’t find any value in its current state. While I think the idea behind Bika.ai is interesting, it’s clear that there’s a lot of work left to be done. I wish the developers the best of luck in improving the platform and hope they can deliver on its potential in the future.

Investment into something big

Hey guys, I just saw a couple of bad reviews so I decided to add my two cents here.
This software has so many amazing possibilities, it's gonna be a one-window solution for dozens of processes across your business(es).
Many modules aren't available currently but to say that it's not functional isn't true. Yes, it lacks native one-click integrations but webhooks work perfectly and it allows for a very straightforward requests parsing and DB updates. I've personally bought the 3rd tier and omg it's like I will be able to barely scratch the surface of the limits if I automate everything: an automation that made 1400 (!) external API requests with the corresponding DB updates took me exactly 1 automation point out of 60k monthly. Yes, that could be made as 14 or 1400 automations, but why not minmaxing, right?
Databases are very responsive and pretty handy to operate manually. Also there's pretty cool dashboard building functionality so that I can have an oversight on my data and long-lasting processes.
The two main downsides aka the reasons why it's 4/5 tacos are:
- documentation is incomplete so you have to allow some trial and error at the early stages of your work with this system;
- certain amount of modules and integrations are coming soon; meanwhile you need to check on the external APIs' documentation to get things rolling.
Before you decide to buy BIKA or not I'd recommend you to give it a test drive on a free account first. Also check their roadmap to have an idea of what features are gonna land next.

UPDATED ON 2025-04-01 after 1 week of using BIKA.AI
I've changed from 4 to 5 tacos. Guys, seriously, that's a combainer of a tool. I've been playing with various external APIs, DBs, and look once you get an idea on how to use that (yes, the learning curve is 6/10 hard), you can accomplish whatever you want so fast that I'm truly amazed.
I will give you an idea on what can be done here with just one of my usecases:
I'm receiving a specific layout client databases from my partner twice a week. They contain some information including names, emails, phones, you get the idea. So using just one automation what I can do:
- parse 100 entries from the DB according to the filter
- lock them for this very automation process (I call that worker), send message to Telegram showing how many lines are locked and so I know the worker has started now
- push every line through this process:
+++ send email from the email field to the email verification service, receive three marks (date, score, status), write them to the corresponding fields in DB
+++ there are two fields: Full name, Job title. We have 6 forms for each noun in russian language so I make a single request to ChatGPT over API to bring me 5 forms of the Full name (the 1st form is in the DB already), 5 forms for Job title and then cut full name to just Name and bring me 5 more forms of that. For every single form I do a separate request over OpenAPI. Then every single response will be parsed and wrote to the corresponding fields in the DB. This way I can use them with {{variables}} in my cold mailing campaings.
- then I send one more Telegram notification that the process is done with 100 lines
...
...
...
That's around 1700 API requests per run.
Costs me 1 automation point out of 60k monthly.
I can just make one automation repeat this process all over again X times
and I can run multiple workers at the same time.

What I can't do is to believe how great this tool is.

Thank you,
Anton
