Q: What tier should a pre-teen take?
I want to introduce my middle school son to programming, and I think this tool could help. He's 12 years old and, while he doesn't know how to program yet, he is very clever. However, I'm unsure which Tier I should choose for him. How much could he achieve with Tier 1 or 2? Thank you.

Tier 1 should be sufficient for those purposes of learning, as it would allow generating code, executing code and previewing web pages. For more routine usage for code generation, Tier 2 might be more suitable.
