I wanted to like it but I ended up annoyed.

I bought Tier 2 solely with the intention of keeping the software.

Honestly, I feel angry because I lost, over several days, many hours trying to configure the plugin and I couldn't even establish the connection between my email provider and BitForm. No matter how much I set up the SMTP perfectly, it just didn't work, and the form simply didn’t reach my email.

I know I did everything correctly since the test email worked perfectly, but when sending the form embedded in my own website, there was no way. The software just didn't work.

I wanted to like it, but these kinds of bugs leave me with a bitter taste.

I will request a refund, but if the developer contacts me and helps me solve the problem, I am willing to remove this review, repurchase the plugin, and keep it if everything works as it should.

Hi Ignacio,

Thank you for your honest feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear about your frustrating experience.

From what you described, it’s possible the issue might be related to either:

Missing email notifications in the Conditional Logic setup, or

A mismatch between the “From Email” in your form and the authenticated email used in your SMTP settings (some servers require them to be the...

Way too many bugs unfortunately

I tried this plugin out for 4 hours and was really impressed by the simplicity and functionality, but there are way too many bugs. I installed it on a website, migrated that to a new one and got some fatal error. I solved that by removing all forms and redoing the forms.

Then another bug occured: entries are saved and counted even after it's been removed.

Then another bug: when doing a multi-step form and pressing 'enter' on the keyboard on the first step, the form is submitted instead of going to step #2.

Also some of the logic is set on each form and some of the logic is global, which is fine, but for example the redirects we should be able to choose a global redirect to a thank you form, instead of having to go to the specific form and choose there. It creates too much extra work when having multiple forms.

And above all other bugs, the most annoying thing is that 10-20% of the form submits are being sent to my mailbox, even though I set up SMTP, use the same top domain as sender.

I would love if this plugin actually worked because it looked great at the beginning, but 4 hours in and I've encountered 10 bugs already.

Hi Victor,

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback, and we're really sorry to hear about your experience.

Regarding the fatal error and entry count issue after migration, we’ve tried reproducing these on our end but couldn’t replicate the same results. It’s possible the problem was related to how the site was migrated, but we completely agree that this shouldn’t happen, and...

Don't let the interface scare you - this thing is a beast!

Okay, I'll be straight up: I almost refunded this. I fired it up, took one look at all the options in the dashboard, and my brain just went "nope". It felt way too complicated, and I honestly thought I'd be in over my head.

But I'm so glad I gave it a second chance.

I decided to just sit down and actually go through the documentation. That was the game-changer. Suddenly, everything started to click into place. That interface that seemed so confusing at first is actually incredibly logical. It's not complicated, it's just seriously powerful.

And the documentation itself is the real MVP here. It's incredibly thorough. I've been burned before by other form plugins (like HappyForms) where the support team is nice, but the docs are a ghost town. You can't figure anything out on your own. With Bit Form, it's the complete opposite. I can finally build complex things without having to send a support ticket for every minor setting.

So if you're feeling a bit intimidated at first, my advice is to just stick with it for an hour. Read the docs. You'll discover one of the most capable form builders out there. An easy 5 tacos for me.

Great form builder

Bitform is easy to use and works great with WordPress and Elementor. I created custom forms with conditional logic and Google Sheets integration without any coding. It’s lightweight, fast, and perfect for lead collection.
