Great Great plugin great heartbreak, files blocked on webhooks / API.
This plugin is truly remarkable, offering an extensive range of design options that enable you to create stunning forms. However, I was disheartened to learn that once a file is uploaded, there is no way to recover it, or to find its path by WH/API, only manually. The plugin stores files in randomly named folders, and unfortunately, there is no option to retrieve uploaded files or path, through an outgoing webhook or an API call, despite the existence of a dedicated API. While it provides the file name, it does not disclose the path, making retrieval impossible. Despite its many advantages, this limitation hinders my ability to fully leverage such an excellent plugin. I reached out to support, and they informed me that this due security reasons. This is the only form plugin I have encountered with this limitantion.
Buyiing this timed my application for several projects perfectly and felt great—until I made the discovery and now is set aside.

We completely understand your concern regarding the file access limitations via webhook(not in API). Currently, the webhook system doesn't support direct mapping for file upload fields. However, we’re actively working on more flexible and secure solutions to improve this experience.
For example, we're considering options like public-accessible routes via webhook, but only under controlled options/settings to maintain data privacy.
As for the API: when you retrieve an entry, the response includes an array of file URLs under the corresponding field key. For example:

These file URLs are protected and require a logged-in/authenticated user to access, ensuring security.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback — it helps shape the direction of Bit Form. Please stay tuned, as improvements in this area are definitely on our roadmap.
