Great App
For all who use Miro and do not need all the functionality, I can honestly say this app is what you need and you do not have to pay a subscription anymore. I am so glad this app crossed my way because now I have all I need especially as this is an app I will use with many clients.

CLOUD SPACE 100% USELESS
- No productivity to save videos: each video is restricted to 100mb (you will have to cut them before moving them) and if there are many, be prepared to do it one by one manually and until each one is uploaded, you will never be able to upload the next one.
- And if you prefer to move them in 300mb batches (as they recommend) your videos should be 50mb each. A complete torture for 5TB accounts like mine, where we've paid to not be overwhelmed with space.
- That's why all the Tiers are generous with space, because the restrictions to manage your files are anti-productive for the user
- I really feel ripped off and I don't recommend this to anyone.

Using It as a Workspace While Working
I’ve been using it for about 10 months.
I always keep boardmix open while working on my computer, and my main usage is to insert daily information into it.
There have been no cases of data loss or server inaccessibility so far.
Overall, it’s been relatively stable to use.
If I had to point out a flaw, it’s that uploading images or videos sometimes results in errors. Even files around 10MB can cause errors, so I’d like to see improvements in this area.
There are minor bugs here and there, but with frequent software updates, I think it’s a good app.
Last year, I couldn't use it properly with a Chromebook, but now it works.
I also purchased Pixso, but if the main purpose is a whiteboard, boardmix is the better option.
The whiteboard feature in Pixso is more of a basic tool.

Immediately Useful ໒( ♥ ◡ ♥ )७
I redeemed Boardmix right after purchase and nearly immediately it has become an important part of our ongoing processes with almost no learning time needed - replacing other less efficient systems.
Very happy this deal returned, as I missed it before either by oversight or not having a strong use case at the time.
I like that the boards can be very rich, flexible and free form. Also that the company is very mature. It does what is says on the tin. This covers some important use cases for me perfectly.
Main negatives I’ve come across, which are fairly superficial, though quite annoying and disruptive:
1. Viewing a board that was shared via link with the ‘anyone with the link can view’ to a non signed in user (probably other cases too). After some time e.g. opening the link on mobile, letting the phone sleep for 10 minutes, then returning to the opened board. It will send the user to a sign in/up form with no way to return to the board. This is a frustrating experience, especially for a user who is only meant to view the boards. This will often be less technical users like clients - whom we want to shield from any confusion or inconvenience like this.
2. Share link, copying the share link automatically adds extra text after the url, something like “[url], view [board name] on boardmix!”. I think this is not expected behaviour for users and additionally don’t think it helps for marketing. The links are already branded via url and meta/og tags. It just leads to human error, when adding these links into other systems other than a chat message. Copy url should only copy the raw url and nothing more, this is normal user expectation - especially for professional tools. At least with this issue, the inconvenience can be limited to the team and not external board viewers though. Assuming there was no human error in handling the share url - such as inputting the url + text into a system that was expecting a valid url.
I really hope they improve the above, as the fixes should be quite simple, but are significantly disruptive and inconvenient - especially the first point. So with this review rating, I am assuming that they will earnestly consider improving the UX above.
The product overall is very solid and I'm super happy with it, which is why I am taking the time to leave a review and give feedback.

AI functionality is not good
The AI features are extremely frustrating, the output is completely unrelated to what I am putting in as the prompts. I even used separate GPTs outside of Boardmix to create the prompt with specific instructions and a simple hierarchy of data for the mindmap. Every time the AI would just generate stuff that it had made up, as if I had not given it any instructions and it just took a topic related to what I put in and mapped it all out.
I showed the output to Gemini and it explained this is what was going on:
"Based on both attempts, it seems almost certain that the Boardmix AI integration layer is the problem. Here's what's likely happening:
Keyword Triggering, Not Full Parsing: Instead of sending your entire, detailed prompt and text to the underlying LLM (like GPT-4o), Boardmix is likely just extracting keywords (e.g., "HubSpot," "Data Architecture") from your input.
Using Internal Templates/Simplified Prompts: It then probably uses these keywords to trigger one of its own pre-built templates or a very simplified internal prompt for generating a 'Data Architecture' mind map.
Ignoring Your Specifics: Consequently, the detailed instructions, the constraints ("DO NOT add...", "Use only this text..."), and the actual hierarchical data you provided are being completely ignored or filtered out before they even reach the core AI model effectively.
It's not that GPT-4o can't do this (it's much more likely to succeed with such a prompt if used directly), but that the Boardmix tool isn't currently capable of handling this level of specific, text-based diagram generation via its AI feature. It seems designed for more high-level brainstorming or generating ideas rather than structuring existing, detailed information."
Meanwhile every time it did this it would cost 30or so AI credits, which then need to be purchased once they run out. Please improve the AI functionality or provide some actual documentation on how to use it as this is the main reason many people purchase this tool.
