I'm considering buying this deal, but changed terms or reduced features after purchase occurs here on Appsumo.
Could you clarify and respond.:
1. What actions will you take to ensure that lifetime deal buyers continue to receive all future features and updates promised/implied at the time of purchase, even if your plan names or structures change later on?
2. How do i know that you wont make retroactive changes that could limit or reduce the benefits for LTD users compared to new subscribers?
3. Will you provide a public statement here detailing how AppSumo ensures that lifetime deal terms are honored by your company so everyone is clear on what to expect?
For context, I’m a longtime AppSumo user and want to make sure these points are addressed before moving forward.

1. Future features and updates for LTD buyers
• Your lifetime code is mapped to our “Solo-plan feature set.”
• If the Solo plan’s name or quota structure changes, LTD accounts will be moved to the new equivalent tier automatically to the Solo plan
• All enhancements that roll out to Solo, new interface modules, increased keyword limits, added report types—become available in LTD dashboards.
• Only features launched as separate paid add-ons for every customer would sit outside the lifetime scope.
2. No retroactive reductions
• We will not lower page quotas, site limits, or remove core Solo features from LTD accounts.
• Any change that would disadvantage LTD holders must be opt-in (e.g., purchasing an optional add-on), never forced it will be avaiable for all our Solo clients.
3. How AppSumo enforces lifetime terms
• AppSumo holds partner payouts for 60 days and can withhold funds if lifetime commitments are not honored.
• Violating an LTD agreement leads to delisting from the marketplace and mandatory remediation or refunds.
These guardrails protect your purchase long-term while letting us keep improving the product.

pintofoptimismPLUS1. But you could change that? Solo could just before a modified free account in the future.. You could add 5 new features to SOLO+ that no LTD user can access? Basically turning an LTD user in a glorified free account. From a contracts standpoint is there anything stoping you from doing that. I ask because appsumo is fuzzy with the facts and how it deals with these issues.
Since we’re having this conversation right here on the AppSumo platform, it’s worth noting that our partner contract obliges us to keep every lifetime-deal account on a plan equal to or better than the Solo tier purchased
Removing value from LTD users would hurt us, trigger refunds, and damage future partner launches. It is economically smarter for us to keep LTD accounts at parity with us.
