Q: Frontend vs Backend

I just started using Cloudfilt on our website. I've noticed it blocking many bots, spammer and scrappers which is good.
But I also noticed the load time for our site is slower. Before, our home page was loading in 2. seconds, and now it's loading in 6 seconds. Why is that?

Also, I'm confused with the pageviews being Frontend and Backend. What does it mean? If a visitor is always Backend, does this mean they are bots, even if you don't tag them as bots? Should I then manually tag them as bots so we block them from our site?

A: Thank you for your feedback.
Frontend refers to the analysis done in the browser, while backend refers to the analysis done on the server after receiving the request.
A user who only appears in the backend could still be a legitimate user who blocks JavaScript or doesn't allow it to run. Let CloudFilt’s intelligence decide 🙂
