As a zero tech person who uses n8n, what exactly is this tool doing? I watched your video of setting up n8n on this — wouldn’t I still need to pay for n8n? Or am I missing something?

Jun 5, 2025A: Yes, you pay to AWS for their Lightsail VPS. But Lightsail is hard to manage on its own for non-tech people. This is where CodeSmash comes in, it makes to process much easier, from setting up the actual VPS to setting up a custom domain.

Sorry - this has confused me even more. When I pay for n8n, I already pay for their hosted solution. So why would I deploy somewhere else?

Ok. Thank you Mario. This means that the original answer is slightly in correct. I can prevent paying the n8n subscription and self-host it via codesmash. This makes sense.
