Q: Google can disable our account if we use CrawlWP?
One of the recent reviews raises a potential major concern, specifically about Google disabling our account — below is an excerpt from that review:
"Google has disabled my account due to an excessive number of requests. I have updated CrawlWP to the latest version and it continues to make requests even though it has reached the daily quota."
I'm not sure what "my account" this user is referring to (I'm assuming it's their Google account), but can you clarify on this point and let us know if we need to be concerned of such issues when using CrawlWP?
It would be a deal-breaker if a tool like this, that is meant to help with indexing/SEO, may actually do harm to our sites with Google disabling our accounts because the tool isn't working in accordance to their guidelines.

Just making sure a plugin like this has no way to harm or negatively affect a website/SEO due how it communicates with the Google API.
vargasHi, as I mentioned in my review, my entire Google account (Gmail and all) was disabled after using this plugin for two or three weeks.
The Gmail account was created several years ago, and I've been using Rank Math's Instant Indexing API for several years, and nothing has happened until now.
If you're going to use this plugin, I recommend creating a dedicated Gmail account for it.
iXzenoSPLUSAlso, I've been looking for some in-depth reviews showcasing this plugin and what it does in detail, its features, etc. — but I'm having trouble finding anything other than spammy low quality affiliate channels with their 2-3min videos that regurgitate the same stuff.
Do you know of any WP influencers or review outlets that's done a legitimate review of WPCrawl in detail?

I think it would be beneficial for all if you promoted your product more, such as by having third parties and known YouTubers in the WordPress space put out unbiased reviews or showcase of CrawlWP.
Currently it's non-existent and thus I'm sure there are others like myself who'd want to *see* the product in action more before pulling the trigger.
Those things cost money, which we don’t have at this time but thanks for the suggestion.
Nothing is shady about our practice. We have thousands of users using the plugin and not one got their account disabled.

Many WP enthusiasts review products free of charge, if you ask, because they can monetize their content through ads and affiliate commissions. Nobody's stopping you from creating more in-depth tutorials than the 6-min video on your homepage either.

I’m genuinely wondering how or why they’d disable your entire Google account just by using this plugin. Once the API limits (or quota) are reached, the plugin should simply pause or stop functioning until the next day, and there wouldn’t be any issues, right?
The cause was this plugin because I haven't done anything different and I wasn't using it for anything else. Until now, I was using the indexing API with Instant Indexing by Rank Math.
The message from Google is, in Spanish: "Tu cuenta se ha inhabilitado. Parece que esta cuenta se ha usado de un modo que infringe las políticas de Google". Now, they give me the chance to appeal.
iXzenoSPLUSThanks vargas, that's very concerning. If this plugin truly is the cause, then it's unusable. A tool like this shouldn't have the possibility of killing your account.
But usually, I'd imagine Google or CrawlWP would have limits in place and the API should stop working once that limit is reached, causing you no harm. Not sure why this happened.
iXzenoSPLUSVargas - it appears the Indexing API is only meant to be used for job posting or livestream-related pages. Anything else may be considered spam and penalized, as indicated below:

In short, CrawlWP is shady, treading a fine line around Google's official rules. Feels too risky to use, especially on client sites. I will pass on this.
