Q: Hi, Is "idle time" activated and tracked when a user starts a timer on a task or does it run 24/7 in the background?

A: Desklog’s time tracking feature monitors idle time according to your activity. If the idle time interval is set to 3 minutes and no activity is detected by the client app during this period, it will be marked as idle (highlighted in yellow). The Desklog client app automatically tracks your activity, including idle time, 24/7 based on your tracking hours. For web-based tracking users, there is a manual button in the dashboard for recording breaks.

If a user is working on a task and takes a break, you, as an admin, can activate a feature that automatically pauses tasks when no activity is detected. This helps prevent break time from being added to project hours.
