Q: Emailit ToS
Hi George,
I have a pre-sales question about Emailit's Terms of Service related to my use case.
I plan to run my own mail server through Cloudron, which only supports receiving emails by default and requires a third-party SMTP for sending. I own a domain name that I want to use for personal email, but I don’t have a live website associated with it.
I noticed that Emailit's ToS states a live website is required for any domain configured with Emailit's SMTP. Does this requirement apply only to email marketing campaigns, or does it also pertain to my use case? I’m NOT going to run a marketing campaigns from that particular domain name.
Thank you for your help!

We do require a running website on the sending domain, because it improves the deliverability. So it is in your own interest to have at least a simple website on the sending domain to ensure that your emails do not end up in spam.
This is also the reason why it is mandatory.
So in theory, if I have a simple “Website Is Coming Soon…” landing page, I’m good to go?

Sure, just add a footer on how to contact you, ideally, Business name if any, contact person, and email.
Hi George, I think Cloudron do support email sent out... I am hosting all my emails on a VPS with Cloudron running.
