Q: Bought Tier 6, but adding users manually, a critical feature is paywalled?

As a Tier 6 buyer, was hoping for ability to add users manually to courses. Especially if a course is free, as a part of a promo, or for a short duration. Manually adding users is a critical feature which I now learned is paywalled as a monthly subscription. You're already charging a sales commission. Why not allow your buyers at certain tiers to be able to add users to courses manually, at least free courses? I currently have another platform I had purchased through AS previously, which has these features by default and no commission splits. I was hoping Sorento was going to be an upgrade (which it might be from design perspective), but not having the ability to add users manually feels like a limitation which might impact our decision about which platform to sitck with.
Sincerely,

A: Hey bhaskar.knp, thank you for the question.

Just to clarify: you can absolutely invite users manually to your platform to access free courses. There's no paywall for that. So if you're offering a free course, you're totally covered.

The "manual add users" feature in the no-commission add-on is specifically about giving people free access to paid products. It's mainly for creators who want to handle payments outside the platform, like through a bank transfer or invoice, and still grant access without triggering our sales commission. It's an either-or setup: you can either pay the commission on each sale, or you can use the add-on to manage payments independently.

If you're just looking to give access to testers, friends, or promo users, you can either use a 100% discount code through Stripe, mark them as course testers, or set the product to free temporarily and invite them that way.

I hope this clears things up. And just to say again, we really appreciate your support as a Tier 6 buyer. Your feedback means a lot and helps us improve every day.

Let me know if you'd like a hand setting any of this up.
