A Different Vehicle for Online Everything
I purchased Tier 2 of GoBrunch because I wanted to test it against the Butter video conferencing product also sold on AppSumo before my return window ran out. One of the biggest cons about Butter is their strangely repressive policy on recordings, whereas GoBrunch has plenty of video storage for recording on each of their plans, and the ability to download recordings when you need to free up space.
I also found where Butter was kind of stingy with the amount of participants, GoBrunch is the opposite, allowing for numerous participants even in their Tier 1 Plan. And where Butter seemed to be focused on meetings, GoBrunch seems to include all sorts of flexibility for meetings, events, webinars, classrooms, and more.
GoBrunch is very different from Zoom. I liken it's style to AirMeet, but much simpler and very visual. Just a brief run through of the product gave me all sorts of ideas of what I might use it for. And unlike other AirMeet alternatives, GoBrunch provides it's own video conferencing capability where you don't have to link up to another third party video conferencing tool like Zoom or MS Teams.
The only reason I gave it 4 Tacos was because it doesn't seem to have it's own whiteboard, quizzes and polls, and relies on other third party "pay to use" products like Miro and Mentimeter. That said, GoBrunch is at the start of its life, otherwise why would it be on AppSumo? I sincerely hope that GoBrunch will continue to add functions and capabilities, especially those inherent in the product.
