A: Totally hear you—Supabase is currently the only natively integrated database option in Greta right now, which is why it's the default. But you're not locked into it.

If you want to use another database (like Firebase, Xano, PocketBase, or your own custom backend), you absolutely can—you’d just need to guide Greta manually by describing the API endpoints or structure in your prompt. You can also try self hosted Supabase.

We’re planning to add more native integrations in the future, but for now, Supabase is the easiest plug-and-play option. If their inactivity policy is a blocker for you, definitely fair to consider alternatives and build around them. Happy to note this down as a feature request too.
