From a technical standpoint, Greta seems to be a self-hosted Bolt.diy setup, simply rebranded with the GRETA logo. GRETA uses a credit system where each prompt costs an unusually high 10 credits, giving you only 300 prompts per month on the highest tier. Compared to competitors, this means you have about six months before it might offer an advantage over more established tools.

However, it doesn’t appear to offer any extra value beyond the basic outputs for these credits. More advanced features, like project-based or context-specific prompts, aren’t supported. Essentially, it’s a modified version of the open-source Bolt.diy available on GitHub, monetized through the credit system. A very positive thing is that error fixing is free from the start!

For casual or experimental coding, this works fine, but don’t expect it to be a serious alternative to the top-tier tools—at least not yet? From what I understand, they have some special surprise or secret ready to be released soon. Who knows! :-)

I used the app for a big project, and it does the job—if the job is tiny. But sometimes it’s like a parrot stuck on repeat, giving me the same answer over and over instead of getting creative and asking follow-up questions. Meanwhile, my credits vanish faster than snacks at a party. Total bummer.

Also, the Supabase integration isn’t quite playing in the same league as lovable.dev yet, but hey, I’m hopeful they’ll level up in a few months. Fingers crossed and toes too.

Honestly, if this tool keeps improving, it might just surprise us all and go places. Like, maybe even to the moon.

QUESTION: Oh, and one last thing: can you stack codes? I’m thinking of grabbing two of the highest tiers, but it looks like stacking isn’t an option. Would be awesome if it was—double the fun!
