Q: Hi, I am bit confused with the tool.

Could you please answer the following questions:
1. How does HeySummit compare to BigMarker? https://www.bigmarker.com/pricing
2. Can HeySummit work by itself or does it need Zoom? Some of your replays for your own Summit use Vimeo.
3. If Zoom is required, could you please provide more details on what type of Zoom account is needed? Is it Zoom Pro by itself or Zoom Pro + Zoom Webinar to match capacity of people of both apps.

A: Hey there. Thanks for reaching out and for the questions. Please find my answers below:

1) In short, a summit is more akin to an offline conference, where there are multiple speakers, spanning across multiple days. With that comes a much deeper need for organisation and tools to help deliver a cohesive experience. Throw into that, the need for sponsorship management, affiliates, generating revenue and viral giveaways (to name but a few) and we're quickly in a very different territory from a more traditional webinar. BigMarkers core focus is delivering online webinars. They do have a summit facility but it's no where near as integrated and feature rich as HeySummit.

2) HeySummit only needs Zoom or BigMarker if you intend on broadcasting your talks live. If you are just looking to host pre-recorded videos then you dont need these integrations :)

3) If you choose to stream via Zoom, then you will need to be on the Pro + Webinar plan. You will also need to make sure that you have the amount of attendees on that plan that you think you will have attend live.
