I've been searching for a tool like this! Highlighted is my second software from Curran (following SheetMagic), and I continue to be impressed by the responsive support and ongoing development of their products.
Highlighted features an intuitive and minimalist design, with a beautiful dashboard. Despite being a relatively new product, it already feels mature. Setup was incredibly fast – taking me literally 60 seconds after registering. The tool delivers on its promise of tracking brand mentions across various LLMs, and the competitor tracking feature is a particularly neat addition.
One area for potential improvement is the current limit on projects/workspaces. While I understand that prompt usage likely drives the main costs, expanding the number of projects (even with the current prompt limits, and ideally, the ability to purchase more in the future for a one-time fee as mentioned) would be highly beneficial. The ability to assign even a single prompt to a greater number of projects or workspaces, or an unlimited number of projects, would be a significant advantage.
Furthermore, there are a few features that would enhance Highlighted's value. The ability that the tool gives some AI-powered SEO guidance to improve visibility for tracked prompts. An "explore" option to identify the prompts for which a brand is already appearing (reverse lookup) would be valuable. It will also be great if there is an option to go Beyond brand mentions, and track industry-specific phrases and keywords to identify trends (e.g., adoption of AI searches within a specific sector) and common questions. Finally, the reporting feature could be enhanced with CNAME support for automated, whitelabeled email reports to clients, providing them with updated statistics.
Overall, Highlighted is on the right track and embracing a forward-thinking approach.
Surprised there hasn't been much activity on this product yet, but glad I bought it. Many of my SEO clients have been asking more about tracking/optimizing for AI responses, so I'm pretty excited to have this tool to help me test & track things.
Main pros: - The tool is really easy to use - Tracks all the main ones like Perplexity, Google, ChatGPT, etc. - Lots of helpful graphs that let you get pretty detailed info
What I hope they implement: - Often times with Perplexity it shows that there are sources like [1]... I hope they can list the source URLs so we can see where Perplexity is sourcing the information from.
