Solid Amazon Keyword Research Tool (with room for improvement)
Edit: I'm updating my review from 4 to 5 tacos due to Ash's response. Much appreciated!
I finally got around to using this for a client the other day and it was really helpful! He's done a great job on it so far. The functionality it does have works well (no bugs/glitches), but I knocked a star off because it's missing some pretty essential functionality such as search volume, competition/keyword difficulty, CPC range for sponsored ads, related keywords etc... all the things you'd expect to find in a traditional keyword research tool for Google I'd love to see in in Keywords.am so we can use the keyword data more strategically. Right now it's kind of a guessing game but definitely better than going in without knowing anything!
The other thing I'd love to see improved is the AI Assist. I was hoping that would help us write the entire product description based off our keyword research but it just helps us write a 1 field at a time and on Tier 2, you only get 25 AI assists. That's not a huge deal though because you're able to copy all the keywords you save so I just took it to GPT who is familiar with Amazon best practices and it helped me write the product descriptions.
All in all, I love the tool and excited to see it evolve!

Jun 29, 2025Thanks so much for taking the time to share this — I really appreciate your honest and constructive feedback.
Glad to hear the tool worked well for your client and that the core functionality delivered a smooth, bug-free experience — that’s always our top priority.
You're right — we don’t display traditional metrics like exact search volume, CPC, or keyword difficulty as seen in Google-based tools. That’s because Amazon doesn’t make that data publicly available, and most third-party tools rely on reverse-engineered estimates that are often unreliable.
That said, Amazon does offer deeper keyword insights to Brand Registered sellers via reports like the Search Query Performance report. We plan to integrate that verified data into our research and analysis modules for users with Brand Registry access — adding another layer of precision and strategic depth for those sellers.
Right now, our keyword engine is designed around Amazon-native buyer intent, relevance, and seasonality — signals that are highly actionable for listing optimization. For instance, "beach towels" will spike in summer while "Christmas decorations" dominate in Q4. Search volume may vary, but buyer intent remains stable — and that’s the signal we train our models to prioritize.

On AI Assist: Appreciate the feedback here as well. AI Assist is meant to support field-by-field content optimization with focused suggestions. But if you’re looking to generate entire listings in one go, definitely try the "Smart Listing" — that tool does exactly that based on the keywords you’ve gathered.
As for the AI assists — that’s a bonus we added for LTD users (not part of the original deal). I addressed that in more details in a previous:

Thanks again for the support — and I’m excited to keep evolving Keywords.am with feedback from users like you.
