Hey there. The software looks great but I have been trying to get reassurance about security with linking bank statements with know your dosh in Australia. Commonwealth bank was unable to verify. Please advise security & safety of personal details.

Thanks so much for the review. Commonwealth bank had some early timeout issues on there end last month which caused an issue with the verification and linking, but we have been assured this has been resolved, so would love for you to try again.

I stumbled across Know You Dosh while searching for finance tools and took a second look as I recognised the name from somewhere.
So, hands up for a bit of honesty - I know of the founder through an online accelerator and startup group.
A fab guy - and I remember watching him do a presentation of their vision - he has a real passion for this,, and so I decided to support and buy a code
I've had a little play around with it, it's one of those no-bs, no-fluff products that you wish you had forever.
It's curious to see how the mind quickly sets about thinking of all the things that bleed you or that you need to manage and "take back control" as some say
- it consolidates everything - bank accounts, investments, property, and loans - so you can start to get a sense of your complete financial picture and net worth at a glance.
There are real-time updates and automated connections, which is a huge win, although I only connected one account. I'm not so rich as to have many!
And there is a manual connection option too (clever actually as sometimes things, different products don't always play well with each other)
One very cool thing is the built-in calendar. This is something I've always known I needed, but had to do manually in my Google Calendar— and usually never do!
I can see that it will be a great way to track all my upcoming renewals, and Know Your Dosh sends reminders - really important to have the extra time for scouting the market for better deals, switching insurers, or avoiding unexpected charges.
That alone is worth the price of a code, saving money rather than sticking with the same insurer because you haven't kept your eye on the ball..
Honestly, this is one of those tools that you wish many productivity apps would have embedded, but they never could nor would they, which means manually entering diary reminders (which, as I noted above, I just never do)
It's a small gold nugget here on Appsumo, but I reckon it could be one of those tools that more than returns the price of a code or two or three (especially if you have other family members involved).
Excited to have seen this launch on Appsumo and hope it has a great campaign.

Good idea, not working in US, at least not with my banks.
I bought tier 3 and tried to connect to 2 different US institutions for assets and CC. The connections are not working. It may be well designed for Europe, but it doesn't work here. I am not doing it manually. Who has time for that? To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I will request a refund. I can't honestly review it because I could not use it. So one star only represents that it wasn't working with my banks.

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience so far.
After reviewing the logs, it appears that the connection attempts failed due to incorrect login credentials being entered for your U.S. institutions. This can usually be resolved quickly by double-checking your banking login details.
We’d love to help you get connected properly, no manual entry required. If you're open to giving it one more...
