Q: Can I train a Google doc share link?
I've used AI training platforms that treat Google share links linked to docs and files like a website link and therefore the AI trains itself on whatever content the link attaches to. I've tried a Google share link linked to a Google doc with Kotae and it seems stuck since it's been 24 hours and it's still 'training' which i think is way too long for a 15-page Google doc. Is it that Kotae can't be trained with Google share links attached to docs and files?

I’ve replicated your scenario and confirmed that, although a publicly shared Google Doc link can sometimes be treated like a standard web page, underlying rendering can prevent our scraper from extracting the full text. In these cases, our system may misinterpret a partial scrape as completed and report the document as “Trained,” even though much of the content was never ingested.
To ensure reliable training, please use our Direct File Upload workflow:
1. Download your Google Doc as a .docx, .pdf, or .txt file: In Google Docs, go to File → Download and select your preferred format.
2. Upload the downloaded file via the Training → File interface in Kotae: Navigate to the “Training” section and choose “File” to import your document.
Uploading the document directly guarantees that our parser receives the complete text without any rendering ambiguities. If you have any further questions or run into issues, please let me know!
