Q: I don't understand how you are alternatives to mentimeter and kahoot
I saw that you have a leaderboard, but I don't understand how you are alternatives to mentimeter and kahhoot? I mean: do you have a word cloud that can also be commented and voted on? Is it possible to brainstorm with your software? Is it possible to associate images with the answers with your software? Is it possible to embed the quiz? Is it possible to hypothesize a public leaderboard in embed always available? Is it possible to have questions that appear randomly and not in chronological order? Do you have roadmap? Best regards
A: Thanks for your detailed questions — and I completely understand where you’re coming from.
Kahoot and Mentimeter have been around for over a decade, and naturally, they offer a broader set of features. Kvistly is still young (about a year old), but we’re focused on creating engaging, fun, and dynamic learning experiences, with our own unique mechanics.
Just want to understand what players means per quiz. Does that mean that only that number of players can ever use that quiz? I saw you track via sessions, lets say I am onboarding folks and that number flucuates, how can I leverage the same quiz? Do I break it up into sessions? Or is it locked forever at the max number of folks I am onboarding (e.g. I am in Tier 2, 100 players per quiz, so on day-1, I have 30 players, day-2 I have 40 and day-3 I have 40). In this scenario, on day-3, 10 poeple are not able to join, is this accurate? Or is it concurrent players for a give time/session, meaning, I have have 100 players join at 10:00AM and again at 2:00PM, as long as the first group is done?
I hope this makes sense, I am just figuring out scaling issues to determine the correct Tier I should use. I like the concept.
A: The player limit is per game session, not per quiz. So if you’re on Tier 2 (100 players), you can run as many sessions as you like, each with up to 100 concurrent players. In your example: • Day 1: 30 players • Day 2: 40 players • Day 3: 40 players That’s totally fine — since each group plays in a separate session, you’re not limited to 100 total users for that quiz over time. The only limit...
A: API integration is part of our Enterprise offering and not included in the AppSumo deal, similar to the custom domain option.

Hi there Kvistly team First of all, I wanted to tell you that your platform looks really clean! I'm an educator and I like to use tools like these to gamify my lessons a bit. Your approach with the betting system is very interesting. However - the kids in the school I work in have notebooks with very bad camera placement (at the front of the notebooks) and using smartphones is not allowed. So the easiest thing for us remains the number-code to join games like Kahoot. Are there any plans to add that to Kvistly too? Also is there some kind of roadmap for this? Or any way to look into what further plans you have for Kvistly?
A: Thank you so much for your kind words — and for the thoughtful feedback! We’re really glad to hear Kvistly caught your attention, especially as an educator.
Re code: It’s a great point, and we’ve added it to our internal roadmap — we’ll aim to release this feature soon.

Just to clarify — if you’re using the AI quiz generator, you’re meant to upload a file or paste your learning materials, and our tool will create questions based on that content. It’s not for uploading pre-written questions directly.

Q: You allow integration through an API
You offer an API integration, is that being considered for this deal? Or was it specifically left off, like the custom domain option?
