Needs more features to be really useful
Here's what I expect from a great AI writing tool after testing a couple of them including KWHero and finding out what I actually want:
Mandatory:
A) Generate an initial AI article from a suggested or custom outline after defining a topic via some context definition.
B) Provide me with keywords based on a target keyword. Show me which keywords I used how often in the article. Let me configure my own target counts. Let me delete keywords I consider inappropriate.
C) Let me provide my own keywords. After an intensive keyword research I always do before writing an article I know exactly what keywords I need to be included. They never match what an AI will suggest.
D) An editor with AI tools to support me in rewriting and refining the text. AI prompts like rephrase, shorten, lengthen, convert to bullet points and also custom prompts to run on any highlighted text or to create new text for insertion.
E) Support for internal links. Let me highlight some words and select a URL from my domain after I provided some search terms.
Optional:
F) Keyword research.
How is KWHero performing in these aspects?
A) Good to great. The AI Content Writer produced a good first text in German for my first target keyword. It's all just running text though, no lists, quotes, tables or something which are also important. I liked specifying word requirements for the outline, they were well met.
B) One of the better implementations. Some terms are good suggestions. But I miss the possibility to delete terms (some of them are just weird and lead to unusable generated paragraphs) and I'd also like to set custom counts for them. NeuronWriter is doing a great job at this.
C) I can provide my own "Secondary Keywords" which is great. However they are only highlighted when used in headings. Why is that? I'd also like to specify counts for them.
D) So I generated an AI article and now what? There's just the basic formatting options that I get in any editor (apart from a word count functionality maybe). To really make it a high-quality article, I need those AI tools mentioned above to assist me in improving the text. Btw, seo.ai is really good at that.
E) Nonexistent. But it seems to be on the roadmap. Writesonic excels at that.
F) I think it's nice to have, but dedicated tools like ahrefs are way better at it, of course. I'd be happy with just being able to provide my own keywords. But it seems like KWHero was built with a keyword research intent first (hence the name ;-)) and AI writing second.
Conclusion: For now, KWHero has great potential, but lacks crucial features on my requirements list to be become my #1 AI writing tool.
Any plans to improve keyword management, add AI editing tools and support internal linking in the next 2 months?
