Essential Upgrades for Lapsula 🔄 : Unlocking Full Potential 🏆
Hi, I’ve been testing Lapsula for a couple of weeks now. I was hoping to centralize my scheduling process and improve communication with clients, especially through WhatsApp. Let’s dive into my experience :
What works well 👍✨
- Main Portal Page. Minimalist service page, looks clean and simplifies booking process 🌐.
- Main Dashboard. It allows to manage contacts, services, schedules, main page and settings ☰.
- Service Management. Editing services is simple, incl. duration, prices, form and approval.
- Customizable Booking Forms. Ability to add fields and get specific information from clients 📋.
- Payment option. Stripe is available at the moment 💲.
- WhatsApp Reminders. Sending reminders directly via WhatsApp is a standout feature (customization of reminder text will be added soon, great!).
- Calendar integration. Syncing with Google Calendar helps to avoid scheduling conflicts 📆.
- Mobile App.(tested on Android) to get notifications and see next scheduled appointments 📱.
Why 3 tacos instead of 5 🌮🌮🌮 ?
1️⃣ Areas that need improvement 🛠️❗
- Mandatory Email Field. Requiring clients to provide an email address in booking forms feels restrictive 📧❌. Many clients prefer communication via WhatsApp or phone over email ➡️📱. Allowing, either email or phone as mandatory (but not both) in forms, would be more flexible.
- Name schedules. It would be helpful to name schedules when creating one ✏️📅
- Whatsapp link icon in portal page. Besides the address, it is extremely useful to add a link to Whatsapp (https://wa.me/<service-number>) ✆
- Missing scroll on booking calendar. It is much easier on phones, right after clicking the book now button, to navigate the booking calendar with horizontal scrolling ↔️👆.
- Easier customizable URL. It’s not intuitive to find where exactly to set a custom URL for the portal page (My Page -> Publish changes). Better to put in the 🔗 button on top of My Page tab.
- Update main account email. Currently in settings, it is not possible to update the main email associated to the Lapsula account 🔄👤
2️⃣ Key missing or expected features 🤔🗝️
- Confirmation via WhatsApp 🔝. While reminders can be sent via WhatsApp, confirmations for booking requests and validations/cancellations are limited to email. Adding custom WhatsApp confirmations would help businesses that don't depend on email and improve communication.
- Adding Outlook calendar integration. Currently, we need to use Zapier to link other major calendar services. A direct integration with Outlook is very welcome ✅📆.
- PayPal Integration: Stripe is currently available, but PayPal is widely used by clients.💳.(Normally, adding PayPal is on process).
- Custom Portal Link Preview. Allow customizing the portal link preview (imagery, title, description), is a must to ensure service branding when link-sharing to potential clients ®🎯
- Improving Phone App. It's a bit simplistic at the moment so we expect it to evolve with new handy features.
- Telegram. Not essential but what about telegram integration in the future? API is quite friendly.
Wrap-Up 🌱💡
Overall, Lapsula has a solid foundation and offers many useful features for appointment management. WhatsApp reminders, and customizable landing page and booking forms are standout elements that make the platform promising. However, there are areas that need attention, such as the mandatory email field, pending integrations (Outlook, Paypal).
If the developers address these issues and expand the custom notification options (especially for WhatsApp), Lapsula could become an indispensable tool for service providers. I’m optimistic about its potential and look forward to future updates that enhance usability and flexibility 🚀. Keep up the great work, and I hope to see these improvements soon!
