Q: Why would I get Letterly if I already have ChatGPT doing all this?

Hey there,

I came across Letterly on AppSumo and it looks pretty cool. That said, I’ve already built a custom setup using ChatGPT that handles all these tasks for me—rewriting, professional tone, faster drafting, etc.—and it works across all my devices (web, iOS, Mac).

So I’m genuinely curious:
What would make Letterly a better option for someone like me who already has a smooth, personalized workflow with ChatGPT?
Is there something unique or game-changing that sets it apart?

Appreciate your thoughts!

A: Hey, Raul! Yes, definitely — there are some important differences.

ChatGPT is primarily a chat. And if it works well for your use cases, that’s great!

Letterly, on the other hand, is fully focused on voice. It’s built to make it as easy and seamless as possible for people to take notes, write messages, journal, or even create social media posts — all by speaking.

You’re out on a morning run, tap the widget, and a second later you have your text. Then in the evening, you're at your computer reading through your notes — everything neatly organized with tags, visually clean, and easy to come back to.

There are a lot of other details too, beyond just being faster and having a more comfortable UX. For example, our rewrite options were fine-tuned on different types of text, so while you can ask ChatGPT to “structure my text,” I think it’s much more convenient to just tap one button — like “Magic” — and instantly get the version you want.

So yeah, for better or worse, ChatGPT still isn’t ideal for expressing or storing your thoughts. But it’s amazing for so many other things :)
