Local Rank Tracker

Product details

Q: Is this a bug, or is it just because I'm using your free tool on your website?

I decided to test your rank tracker on your website. I understand that, since it's a trial or just a free preview, it doesn't reveal every position. However, I've noticed that some results near the target location show as position 20, when they should probably be in position one or two. I know this isn't accurate because, instead of showing local businesses in Pennsylvania, it displays businesses located in California. Is this a bug, or could it be an issue related to using the free tool on your website rather than the full version? I'm just curious.

I do think your tool is great, and I do want to full stack it. I just wanted to check in with you about this first.

A: Thanks for the great feedback — and awesome to hear you're considering the full stack!

To answer your question: yes, the results you're seeing are very up-to-date. The tool checks rankings in real time during the business’s opening hours, and we match categories, keywords, and business info to identify the most relevant local results.

That said, if you're seeing unexpected results (like CA listings showing up in PA), it's likely due to searching through your own browser, which can be affected by personalization and cookies. For the most accurate preview, we recommend using tools like iSearchFrom or an Incognito window, just to remove personal browsing bias.

And of course — if you'd like, I’d be happy to jump on a quick call and walk you through the app live. Just let me know what works best for you!
