Rework the modern UI and it will be 10 tacos
I'll be upfront, I've only played with the software for a day while following the tutorial (which I suggest watching even if you haven't purchased yet, it will give you a very clear picture of what you are getting). I'll provide more points below but in short: so far I love almost everything (minor stuff is not deal-breaking) apart from overly in-your-face Meetn branding and outdated UI (it looks like from 90s).
Some features that I found amazing:
- Recordings can be interactive, meaning all your CTAs, popups can still be actionable even in the replay. I have yet to test it but it sounds super-cool and very useful.
- Tons of clever tiny settings for all sorts of situations (for instance, if your attendance is low, you can hide attendees and their numbers to prevent the embarrassment, haha)
- Widgets. Blows my mind how much an innovative mind can use these for in different scenarios. I'm not a programmer but even I know I'll be using these a lot in the future. It's just a great way to go about displaying CTAs and interactive information on your screen. Truth be told, one of the things I didn't know I needed until I saw it in action (tutorial), haha. And, my gut feeling tells me they will come up with even more use cases. Just the feature to interactively display any web page and allowing to interact with it (Sessions comes to mind) alone creates million use cases since even a non-coder like me can whip up a nice looking page in a page-builder.
Some things I didn't like so much.
1. AM/PM thing... it would be great to allow an option for 24 hours.
2. Time zone settings are a bit limited with a list of countries. I think using traditional GMT+/- would be more convenient for most users. But I heard it's already WIP.
3. I'm on a 27 inch Ultrawide screen and all interface elements seem to be a bit too big.I have to open it in a half-screen so it looks decent. In general UI looks like from 90s but I heard the team is already working on it. I'm sure a decent designer will find ways to make it look good on all sorts of resolutions and aspect rations. It's not a deal-breaker but yeah, I do love clean modern interfaces (ideally with an option for a Dark mode) so it's kind of close to my heart.
4. "Hide all widgets from Guests" seem missing from my interface. I suppose there's a reason for it but just thought to mention it, as it is covered in the tutorial but I couldn't find it.
Now I just need to figure out how to plug it in GHL so that I can sync the data for registrants, no-shows etc.
