Memogram Reviews

My testing brought up many questions and I'm seriously considering requesting a refund. I was expecting a lot from this app.

Here are my issues:
- For the 2nd tier we bought there should be no Memogram Logo on the event page whatsoever. I don't want this if I send it to my clients.
- When I sent a link for the event, the picture that came in the phone was a random one with random people, wedding and something else that was not related to my event at all, and memogram logo. It looked rather as a spam and something unrelated. Why my uploaded picture for the event was not there with that link?
- You can upload only 5 images at the time???? Nobody will want to keep uploading images 10 times. If it's a hassle people will not do it. They might do it once and that's it.
- Why does it ask for a name every time the same user tries to upload content? This complaint popped up right away.
- So slow. We tested it from our home with 1gb fiber optic connection.
- Some vertical pictures ended up being flipped on the head. Not good. Why 3:2 ratio and not the original one?
- Horizontal images are flipped to vertical.
- Page gallery is vertical and you need to scroll instead of just populating it as tiles or something.
- Where are download buttons?
- Why there's no ability to see all the content in one place, like one big gallery that's separated into videos and pictures?

I really wanted to love this app, but the initial experience was not good.

Hopefully it will turn out for better, but right now there's lot to be desired. I'd be willing to use it if these things are fixed.

I can't reply but here's clarification for answer not understood by developer:
2a. Default Picture: If you're referring to the default photo on the upload page, there's an option to upload your own image. We just have that default so you can get a feel of what the page looks like. There's a knowledgebase video and article to guide you on that.
2b. There's a button "View Uploaded Media"; when clicked, it would direct you to a page to view all your uploaded media.

Concern was:
When I sent a link for the event via TEXT, the picture that came in the phone was a random one with random people, wedding and something else that was not related to my event at all, and memogram logo.

When you copy event link and share them via text some default event image shows up in the link with memogram logo. It's you memogram collage picture that is showing in the text as a link, not the one I previously set up as the main even picture.

I did have my own picture already uploaded when I was setting up the event. So, answers 2 and 2b do not apply to my concern.

#6 You did not address my question/concern. My uploaded image is upside down after the upload even tho it's vertical and positioned correctly. People heads are now down instead of up after the upload.

I purchased Tier 2. Basically, it's a nice tool that could certainly be used at our events.
However, several improvements are definitely needed:
- Upload takes too long; after multiple tests, it takes about a minute for 2 images.
- The alignment of the images is not preserved in the browser or in the external storage (Dropbox). Horizontal shots are shown in portrait mode (rotated) — it becomes quite chaotic when taking and uploading multiple shots directly through the software in the browser. Without correct alignment, you cannot really provide the images to anyone who wants to use them without further editing.
- When uploading to Dropbox, images from different events end up in the same folder, which should definitely not be the case. For the most recent event, external storage didn't work at all.
- External storage should be enabled by default, or at least, already captured images should be synchronized when enabling external storage.
- UI: The translation tool doesn't work correctly; clicking on a link opens something from Google Translate instead of opening the link itself.
- It would be nice if users were not immediately prompted to create a free account after upload!
I am happy to adjust my review once the bugs have been fixed.

A promising start for a system with potential, but a few important things are missing:
1. Removing your logo from the event gallery page.
2. Photos are uploaded to the gallery and automatically cropped to a 3:4 ratio, with no option to view them in full size unless downloading them to a mobile device – which is a bit odd.
3. Image upload speed is slower than expected, even though my internet connection is very fast, so I believe the issue is with the system.
4. The gallery page looks too basic – it would be worth adding an alternative display option.

In any case, I’ve purchased it and am putting it aside for now, hoping it will continue to develop quickly and become truly practical to use. Right now, it’s a bit challenging.

Listen... I'm a product developer too and you guys have a winner ! Only you should have launched with the white-label /saas. I am waiting on that version. Please let me get on the beta team when you do!
