A Buggy Product, A Warm Up Tool That Damages Sending Reputation, Rude & Condescending Support - 9 Month Review
I’ve been using Mystrika for the last 9 months and I’ve been cold emailing for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, I have recently had to start moving across to another cold email software as there are constant bugs and issues with Mystrika.
The TLDR of this review is this: I would NOT recommend this product for beginners or for advanced cold emailers who have money to spend on a good quality cold email tool. The only people who this software is usable for are experienced cold emailers on a budget, who know how to troubleshoot their own issues, who can find ways to work around software bugs and can stand to put up with poor & rude customer service.
OVERVIEW:
To give a bit of an overview of my experience: I accepted the bugs at first, understanding it was a lifetime deal and things should get better over time. For the first 4 months things did improve and I was happy enough with the service. However, over the last few months things have really gone downhill. Bugs have increased and become much more problematic, support has become even ruder, their FB group which was previously helpful is now being heavily moderated to hide any posts that indicate issues with the product, and they refuse to address issues with their product.
Even though it means a big cost increase, I’m being forced to move away from Mystrika due to the issues I’m experiencing.
POSITIVES WITH MYSTRIKA:
Before I get into the problems in more detail, I do want to provide a fully transparent review and highlight the positives of Mystrika, as there are a few:
1. They are very quickly introducing new features to the products and many new features do get added
2. A lifetime deal is very cost effective compared to the recurring monthly subscription with almost all other cold email tools
3. Up until recently the product has been a viable way to send cold emails at scale without monthly software costs. However, I’m not sure that is still the case for new users
4. They have some good help articles to get people started
5. They have an FB Group (which used to be good)
PROBLEMS WITH MYSTRIKA:
1. Emails accounts constantly disconnect from warmup (for no reason), this is something I have only ever experienced with Mystrika. Once you start sending 25 cold emails per account (+25 warm up emails) you can expect to have to manually reconnect 20-25% of your emails to warmup every day. This has been happening for 3-4 months. I have seen others complain about this, however, support have locked or deleted posts about this on their FB group once they started gaining traction.
2. Rude & condescending support with zero accountability when there is legitimately an issue with their software. I suggest they get some training in providing support to western audiences who won’t generally accept this kind of abrasive attitude.
3. VERY poor analytics, it’s almost impossible to tell how your campaigns are doing relative to each other. Automatic/Out of Office Replies are counted as replies so reply rates are massively inflated, misleading and useless when analysing performance.
4. A/B Testing tool doesn’t work properly - when setting up an a/b/c copy test the software would only send 2 of the 3 copy variation I wanted to test
5. New features are being added at the expense of product quality, which means there are more and more bugs and the reliability of the whole product is being diluted.
6. Mystrika isn’t comparable to Instantly or Smartlead in quality, despite what their over the top marketing suggests - it lacks a lot of the features that Instantly/Smartlead have and Mystrika is much less reliable
7. In one case I experienced Mystrika’s software damaging the reputation of new domains and email IDs - I recently saw Mystrika’s warm up tool causing brand new (correctly setup & not blacklisted) domains & emails to get a 100% bounce rate after 1 week of warming up in Mystrika and as soon as the emails were switched to another warm up tool those issues stopped. I isolated the issue to Mystrika’s warm up tool, which is very worrying.

Jun 25, 2024Hi Ed,
Thanks for giving Mystrika a shot, and for detailed feedback.
Let's take things one by one.
- Mystrika never disconnects an email id without reason. It clearly mentions the reason in each notification email, and that's by design. It is of utmost importance to keep your email ids in pristine condition to ensure you email ids are not hurting your, as well as other's email reputation.
In fact, Mystrika is the only Cold Email software that gives you direct access to all the bounced emails and errors that lead to your email id getting disabled https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJf4q-yKSfA&list=PLc90IwgGK0hdK91VQHoiVsy7jMlvWyiAr&index=19
If the error is not fixed, Mystrika will keep on disabling your email id over and over again.
- Mystrika has below resources directly at your disposal.

- You need to start tracking positive reply by marking them as "Interested" in Unibox. Reply rate, and positive reply rate are the only metrics that you should be track.
- There is no such reported issue for A to Z testing. If system is sending only 2 of 3 copy variations, that means you must have disabled one of the email variation. Mystrika has option to disable non performing variations.
- That's impossible. Only reason emails would bounce would be because of email configuration issue, wrong setting, email copy being marked as spam. None of those reason has got to do anything with the tool of sending.
Please understand, as a veteran with 3 years of experience in cold email industry, you should be beacon of light helping new folks work towards goal of helping them achieve better results.
That's what community is for, it's always sad when veteran's choose to mis-guide and use community to vent out instead of being constructive. A community is to give and take. :)
