I've tried multiple on-page SEO optimization tools such as Surfer SEO, Page Optimizer Pro, Frase.IO, and MarketMuse (my current tool) as well as tools that were disappointing like Outranking.IO and PostPace. However, I'm happy to say NeuronWriter is a refreshing improvement over what's been offered at AppSumo and one well worth you checking out.

The layout and user interface are clear and easy to understand yet still look polished like some of the more popular tools.

NOTE: I have not used the AI content creation features so I can't comment on that.

• Features 'exclude' feature so irrelevant keyword terms can be ignored.
• Keyword suggestions are provided.
• Selecting competitor URLs during the research start point is a breeze.
• Keyword highlighting.
• H2/H3/etc., questions, and suggested titles provided in the editor data (sidebar).
• Meta title and meta description features provided.
• Good export feature.
• Moz competitor data under the TOP Analysis feature tab.
• Related keyword suggestions, competitor URL outlines, and other useful data are included in subtabs.
• Developer is responsive and seems positive and motivated to improve the tool. Roadmap available.
• Content editor is EASY to use and easily beats others, despite their higher cost. Formatting is really simple too.
• Keyword suggestions appear to be actually relevant, unlike some others I've tried.

• Grammarly doesn't work correctly in the editor window and there's no spell or grammar checking.
• Editor currently has some bugs that prevent me from simply importing existing WordPress posts, so for now I'll settle for copy/paste.
• Not currently providing topic cluster features, although that is planned I believe.
• Moz data is helpful but not displayed by default. Must manually click "refresh" to see it the first time once you enter the competitor analysis data screen.
• Keyword/NLP data could be improved a bit I believe - I can tell some relevant terms are not present sometimes.
• Adding text to the meta title and meta description boxes seems to skew the optimization score and carries too much weight in my opinion.

All in all, NeuronWriter deserves a test drive. It's a great starting point for beginners or even more experienced content creators or SEOs, although you may want to let it mature before canceling your current pricier tools. However, either way, it's got a great user interface, it's a breeze to use, and the suggested data is solid while keeping your workflow simple and headache-free.

Unlike lesser tools I've tried, and despite its growing pains, NeuronWriter is a solid bargain and one I'll recommend to others to try out as well. The future looks *very* bright and I can't wait to see how it matures over time!
