Really good for chat, pretty bad at everything else.
This product is quite basic. For the price, it’s a reasonable deal, but I would recommend a tier-one option.
The music generation is a joke—limited to just 8 seconds with laughable quality. The PDF chat is the worst of any platform I’ve used; it only remembers one question, so follow-ups are impossible. It’s not a true chat but rather one question at a time, with no memory of previous interactions. Additionally, you cannot select which LLM to use.
The video generation feels like a bait-and-switch. The founder showcases Sora in the demo reel, but you don’t have access to Sora. LightTricks is nearly unusable, and Kling is forced to use version 1.5. I have a Kling subscription, and the video quality doesn’t come close to the full Kling 1.6 Pro.
The artifact feature for chat is a gimmick; it doesn’t work. I contacted support via Discord three weeks ago, and the issue remains unresolved. Using artifacts costs two message credits, and the output is just a generic template unrelated to the request.
Claude Opus misleadingly claims to support more than one request per chat, which is simply not true. You also cannot upload PDFs, text files, Markdown, or other documents in the chat.
The founders never provide direct responses regarding updates or requested features; instead, they simply suggest making requests through the roadmap. I bought the product on launch day, and so far, the updates have mainly consisted of bug fixes, dark mode, and the addition of a few new LLMs—which is positive—but overall, there hasn't been much progress beyond that.
Pros include the excellent chat interface with an enormous context window. The LLMs are true to their labels—Claude 3.7 is indeed Claude 3.7, GPT-4.1 is GPT-4.1, and so on. The Playground feature works well, and the images produced are of good quality, with one model available.
Overall, this is a great value for the number of messages allowed, especially since you can use any LLM, and each request costs only one message credit. It’s an impressive deal for the price.
I'm curious whether the product will still be available a year from now. I find it hard to see how this deal is sustainable, but if it is, it truly is an incredible offer.
