This application means so much to me. I have been dreaming of something like this for years. I am building several applications with it and would love to become a partner. What struck me as a designer at first glance: The UX and UI still have room for improvement; often it’s the small details that matter. It’s not tragic, but I do get quite annoyed when there’s poor contrast! For example, I could barely decipher the text in the tutorials for the first app — light gray text, why not use white text?! Additionally, the styling panel uses light gray text on a light violet background when hovering; ouch!

However, the founder is very active and helpful across various channels, and the product has recently been significantly expanded, which is certainly the most important aspect. Perhaps with the increasing number of customers, there will also be some room for cosmetic improvements. After all, the first impression counts, especially for attracting new customers!

In NoCode-X, you can not only choose from many functional building blocks but also select from around 125 plugins, particularly those for external APIs, which should cover quite a few needs.

The UI and input options are primarily geared toward laypeople or designers without any coding background. I don’t want to criticize this, but for professionals, it should also be possible to input CSS directly or even copy entire templates from outside, or to use Tailwind, which is especially popular for reusable components. And those used to working with CSS classes may be disappointed here – classes doen't exist.

Overall, working with the template designer was not enjoyable for me; it is rather sluggish compared to modern page builders like Bricks, making it feel quite outdated.

=== The significant room for optimization in my view ===

The actual shock, and for me, a dealbreaker in wanting to use NoCode-X as a template engine, is the amount of JavaScript loaded in the frontend (even with the "Production" setting): around 8.8 MB for an almost empty page, including the jQuery framework, which seems quite outdated compared to modern frameworks like React, Vue, Svelte, etc.
Google PageSpeed Insights gives me 55 / 100 Points (mobile) for an nearly empty page!

I might use NoCode-X for database connections, but developing components using its templates neither is enjoyable nor makes sense for a future-proof, modern app! Truly a shame because NoCode-X otherwise has really promising features.

Initially, I found it a bit challenging to navigate, but after receiving thorough guidance from the admin, I gradually began to understand how it operates. As a customer, I hope to accompany the team on this journey and witness the success of the applications built on this platform in the future. Overall, I believe NoCode-X has significant potential for anyone looking to create web applications without coding expertise.

The only limitation there is your own imagination. Everything else is taking care of and you will be able to build fully functional applications by just prompting what you want.
