Q: Hi!
Sound like a pretty awesome solution! We are a team of 1 programmer and 1 owner, We are developing an accounting reconcilation database in Postgress and wanted to get it in the hands of Accountants in the near future and continue development as they pose scenarios that would make sense to program into our solution.
I am attempting to understand the difference between tier 1 to tier 3.. can you help me?
Specifically
1. what are Repos'
2. what does "User provisioning and deprovisioning" mean?
3. benefit of Data exports for all messages?
4. What does SAML-based single sign-on mean?
5. As to asking questions against our posgress database within your solution? are providing own API key?
6. As we interact with the accouting firm - are they going to see the OneTab logo or would it be our Logo and Name that they would see?
Thanks!
All features above included
50 users
50 GB total file storage
15 repo(s)
User provisioning and deprovisioning
SAML-based single sign-on
Data exports for all message

The answer to your questions are:
1. A repo or repository is a central location where data is stored and managed. Repositories can hold files, scripts, documents, and other pieces of information that are essential for a project.
2. Provisioning: The process of creating user accounts and providing them with the necessary access rights and resources they need to perform their tasks. This includes assigning roles, permissions, and access to systems and applications.
Deprovisioning: The process of removing user accounts and their access rights when they are no longer needed, such as when an employee leaves the company or changes roles. This helps ensure that only authorized users have access to sensitive data and systems.
3. Archiving: Exporting all messages helps keep a record of communications, which is useful for looking back at past conversations and meeting legal requirements.
Analysis and Reporting: Exported data can be examined to understand how people communicate, find patterns, and create reports to help with business decisions.
Migration and Backup: Exporting data is important when moving to a new system or making backups to avoid losing important information.
4. SAML-based Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to log in once and access multiple applications without re-entering credentials. Key components include:
SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language): Standard for exchanging authentication data.
Identity Provider (IdP): Authenticates the user (e.g., Okta, ADFS).
Service Provider (SP): Receives the authentication data and grants access (e.g., Google Workspace).
6. When interacting with the accounting firm, think of it like using Slack or WhatsApp where you have your own groups. You can create your own workspaces and upload your organization's logo, but the Onetab logo will be displayed on billing documents.
Thank you! So from your perspective does tier 3 make sense for us? I had already purchased it, but when i attempt to create an account ( signup) I get a message 'failed to fetch' can you help me sigup? never have seen this error before.
And would you say that we need a 'repo' per project or can multiple projects/apps /solutions - require a separate repo each?
Hey,
Are you still facing this issue??
And not sure you answered the question on AI - do we need provide our own API key?
