Q: Questions on Data Extractions, Unlimited AI Search and Doc retrieval mode: link multiple documents to chat with AI
I would like to clarify my understanding for these three following terms you Paperguide has to offer.
1. Data Extraction: Is it, one time chat with AI can do on multiple files on data extraction?
2. Unlimited AI Search: Do we have unlimited AI search to one document only or all 100 documents?
3. Document retrieval mode: link multiple documents to chat with AI: Is it related to data extraction?
Additional questions
4. How can we do AI search using prompt based on selected folders.
5. How many documents and folders at once that AI search can do?
6. How the AI search result minimize hallucination results?
7. Does paperguide AI search result preserves referencing and provides source-based answers?
8. Does Paperguide link with Zotero just like Scispace? therefore we do not need to manually upload article that we want to chat

1. Extract data helps pull upto 50 different columns/parameters from multiple files (upto 100) at a time. For example, you can have 100 papers (which have pdfs) in your reference manager and you can select them and extract parameters like Research Question, Methodology, Summary etc or any custom defined column based on your need.
2. When you refer to "AI search" in your question, I believe you mean chatting/interacting with documents. Our AI Search feature is primarily meant for finding research-backed answers for your questions and top 10 relevant papers based on your topic of your question. There is separate feature, chat with pdfs for chatting with documents.
3. You can select upto 100 documents to chat with them together using chat with papers option in reference manager. How it works is that based on your question, it first scans all documents and identifies top 3 relevant documents and passes the information to LLMs for response. Extract Data feature is slightly different from multi-document chat and it extracts one specific parameter/question from all 100 documents and presents it in tabular column. You can extract upto 50 such parameters. We are also working to release "Deep Research Report" feature which can respond to your chat query from all documents using a multi-step prompting approach. It should be live in 3-4 weeks.

5. Chat with papers and Extract Data works with upto 100 documents at a time
6. It is very rare as our models are primarily built to restrict LLMs to answering questions based on research sources and not generate its own content.
7. Yes. We support zotero integration.
