A good start to a great future for streamlining the hiring process with the power of AI
We’ve been exploring Petrova.ai as part of our upcoming Project Controls Talent Network, and I must say—it’s a game-changer in early-stage candidate vetting. The AI-conducted, live video interviews provide a fast, consistent, and professional way to evaluate talent at scale. One of the biggest advantages is how much time it would save. By automating the initial screening process, we can drastically reduce the hours typically spent reviewing resumes and conducting first-round interviews, allowing us to focus on truly qualified candidates. That means faster shortlisting, better hiring decisions, and a major boost in productivity.
We’re using Petrova to assess project controls professionals before matching them with hiring managers who turn to us for top talent. The platform helps us maintain a high-quality talent pool, ensuring those who move forward have already passed an intelligent, structured evaluation.
A standout feature for us has been the white-labeling option. It allows us to host interviews under our own domain and brand, creating a seamless experience for candidates and reinforcing our professional identity—rather than relying on the Petrova.ai URL.
Of course, there’s room to grow and the Petrova team is fully open to enhahncing their platform and its features. The current 10-minute interview cap can be limiting, especially for more experienced candidates who deserve a deeper dive. The lack of conditional follow-ups means missed opportunities to explore candidate responses more meaningfully. I’d also love to see the option to rename the AI interviewer, support both male and female voices, and allow for private job postings.
Still, Petrova.ai shows strong promise and has already proven to be an invaluable tool in streamlining our vetting process. With a few enhancements, it could become an industry standard for intelligent talent screening. Looking forward to what’s next!
Please note that the tools that we get access to via AppSumo are in very early stages of development and you cannot expect them to do magic at this point. Promising and game-changing tools and products need support and Petrova.ai is one of those. The team is very open to feedback and enhancement. I highly recommend it.
