Good if you need a quick fix or are a n00b
I can see this having use if you've never used Pinterest or have limited experience in marketing, but the output of these templates is not great, and I think you'd quickly find yourself designing your own in either Canva or using the new Google image. As someone who's been in marketing for a long time, I cannot introduce this to my clients, but maybe that's not their target market. Would bump up the taco rating if they improved their templates drastically, as it all looks a bit early 2000s.

LOVE THIS!
There are several things on my wish list for this BUT the time saving is amazing. I've learned to add more images to my blog posts to get the pins I want. Since I have a visual product, that helps my posts, too.
I love the SVG import from Canva (beta). It has many items that won't work. Layered templates with the product image behind, doesn't really work. But most do.
There are a lot of good templates to favorite and I can create 30 pins faster than 10 in Canva.
I am very happy to have this. Would love to have it post to Instagram in the future. :-)

Makes Pinterest a breeze for SMBs
For less than the cost of hiring a Pinterest specialist contractor for two months (which I researched before finding this), Pin Generator generates and automates the scheduling of content. Are the pins generated the most unique ever? Absolutely not, but I don't personally make money off selling my creatively-done pins, I make money off of people clicking on them. And this makes generating pins to promote my content and products ridiculously easy! I went all-in on buying 3 credits, because this is such a quick, easy, way to up my Pinterest game (from a very low threshold, admittedly). Thank you so much for creating such an awesome product!

Apr 4, 2025Thanks for the great review.
We are always trying to make the templates better. If you have any particular desired templates you like you can send them through to us and we can look at adding them to the library.
You can also import any templates you like from Canva.
Kind regards,
Ollie

Great product!
This is a great product, and I see a lot of value. I have used Tailwind in the past, and this is a good substitute. There are some issues which I am sure the team / Oliver can help with and has been good in communicating!

Good but very buggy to be useful in certain cases
Pin Generator is a tool I've been searching for. It has become an essential part of my Pinterest strategy, and I use it almost daily. I particularly appreciate the CSV import functionality (though it could be improved) and Smart shuffle feature.
Unfortunately, the tool is also quite buggy, making it challenging to use in certain scenarios.
Bugs in the Generator:
- if in the CSV file, image2, or image3, or both are empty, some pins will show a broken image; this can be fixed by doing Refresh on the design, which can also break the whole look of the pin.
- when you already have pins in the Generator and you press "Refresh template", the template is updated but all the pins start showing the same image;
- the text color (for both text fields and brand names) can become corrupted after uploading a new CSV file, with no easy or clear fix. I've found two inefficient workarounds: using overwrite, which resets all text to the chosen font, or manually adjusting text colors for each pin—manageable with 10 pins but impractical with larger quantities.
Editing templates in Template Builder is a pure PITA :
- hard to move the text field around;
- the page border is no longer visible (it was showing until about a month ago);
- resizing the elements is unintuitive and hard;
- one can argue that I could use the SVG file import from Canva; well, for that, you need to have a paid version of Canva and you still need to manipulate the text fields after the import;
Pinterest Scheduler for Autopins:
- How the heck can I create AutoPins? This article does not really give the answer: https://pingenerator.com/blog/free-pinterest-scheduling-tool#Step_5_Schedule_your_pins_or_create_AutoPins. In the UI, I see “Add a new repeating pin by hovering over the schedule icon and selecting "Create repeating pin".” - where is the schedule icon? 🤔
I question whether this product is still under active development. These bugs existed when I purchased it in August and remain unfixed today.
Not only has there been no improvement, but some aspects have actually deteriorated.
While one could argue that Oliver, the owner, might be unaware of these issues, I personally find this unlikely given how obvious these bugs are 🤷♀️
I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but AppSumo only allows ratings of 3 or 4. I chose 4 because I still find this tool useful for my needs.

Jan 2, 2025Thanks for the review and the suggestions. I do plan to make some enhancements to the csv import.
Some assistance for the issues you experienced:
1. When uploading a csv is the image fields are empty, it should ignore these values. I just ran a test my side and it works that way. It might be something to do with your csv file. Perhaps there is some content in these fields like a space? Can you...
