Q: Can I use it for a basic referral program
Hi Ayo,
Your software is super robust, but I'm trying to do something fairly simple. I plan to launch a digital VIP coupon directory. But before taking the directory live, I'd like to build a list of consumers whom I can then contact later and have them join the VIP coupon club when it goes live. So, I plan to create a prelaunch landing page and capture names and emails. But I want to incentivize people to also tell their friends about my upcoming club after they sign up on the landing page. As an incentive, I can offer them referral rewards like gift vouchers for referring 10 of their family and friends to join my notification list. Can I use your software to handle this task? Is there a video that demonstrates referral rewards like I'm talking about? Thanks

I believe you can use the software to achieve this task, but "referral rewards like gift vouchers" is a bit too vague for us to support.
We do support a payout option called "Platform credits" where you can indicate to your affiliates that they will be paid using some form of credits on your platform.
However you would have to fulfill this manually every month (or whatever schedule you set up your payouts to be) we will generate the payout amounts, but you'll have to fulfill it by sending them your gift vouchers. The reason i can't automate this process is because there are thousands of different ways that different people who use different integrations would want to do this because their setup and platforms are different. It's not possible for me to build all the different possibilities.

Ok, I can work with a credit based system and then manually fulfill the reward. For example, I just want to be able to configure the system to award the affiliate 10 credits for each person who joins my pre-launch notification through their link. Once they reach 100 credits, they can contact me or I can contact them to redeem their credits. Is there a video on using Platform credits?
It's very easy and intuitive, you follow the normal setup, which is in the demo video. And then you just choose platform credits as the payout method. Credits are always denominated in the currency you set your affiliate program as. And then you can set an auto-payout schedule with a minimum threshold of $100, which means that a payout will be generated automatically on the schedule you choose
For affiliates that have more than $100 and unpaid, and you can just go to the payouts page regularly to see the list of payouts you need to make, and mark them as paid afterwards
Hi Ayo...another follow-up question. I will be creating the landing page for my idea on my Brilliant Directories site. Do I need your level 3 plan API integration to make my idea work? I'm not a techie, so it's not clear to me what benefits the API connection would add.

Hey, The API integration is for developers to build your own integration from scratch using code. That's simply what it is. If your site is built in Brilliant directories and you don't need any of the advanced features or more than 2 affiliate programs, then tier 2 should be enough
