I appreciate the feedback - Rapid301 has certainly helped us save a bunch of time during web migrations!
The way Rapid301 works is that you can see the results before exporting - meaning you are guaranteed to be happy with the results before it costs you anything.
For this reason and because 99% of our customers do not do migrations often, we decided against a subscription /...
I understand your reasoning, but I don't want to have to "count" and be ready to handle a new customer request (within the limits of a monthly tiers, even if I have to pay a bit more for a higher tiers) on short notice. This freedom is essential for small technical agencies...
Hi, I am not sure I understand what you mean by 'counting' and monthly tiers. The credits deducted match the amount of pages redirected. It's not possible to have a fixed cost plan that accounts for an unknown, unlimited number of pages.
For this reason, most customers choose to unlock per project. We added credit packs for AppSumo, which has the best deal in terms of pre-purchasing credits.
Sorry, English is not my first language: What I want is to go with a one time LTD tier that has a mensual page volume corresponding to the average number of pages on my clients' websites. This quota would resets to zero each month (as far as I know, there’s no cumulative effect on AppSumo for tiers that reset every month). If one day I have a higher need I will purchase extra from you.
Hi B. I hope that this message finds you! I understand now and this works for a subscription model. Eg, start with 1000, use 800, at the end of the month it resets to 1000.
The deal you see here was an adaptation by AppSumo of our project based pricing model. We put a lot of thought into fair pricing and don't plan on changing to subscription any time soon. I hope that answers your question!
Q: No monthly credits?
Hi, I was expecting to see a deal with monthly credits that might roll over. This basically isnt a LTD in my view, besides the lifetime access to the one time credits. Maybe you could consider a LTD with monthly limits.
A: Hi there! Thanks for the feedback on pricing and I completely get your point!
Open to hearing your suggestions and what you would expect the credit rollover / price to be. Also, I'd love to know how many site migrations / pages are you doing per month?
Transparently, we decided against a subscription based pricing model for Rapid301 because migrations / redirects are often infrequent (for...
My projets are indeed infrequent. Thats why prefer the deals that keep on giving me credits. I'd rather have a lower burden of entry, and stack up unused credits over time. If I have a massive client explosion out of a sudden i can always purchase one time credits on top I think. I would not purchase a high tier here unless I can live test it on a real project first.
Great point, which is why we built Rapid301 in a way that lets you create the 301-redirect mapping and view the results before spending any credits - we have a no-win no-fee philosophy.
In other words, you get to see the entire redirect map for free and credits will only be deducted if you choose to export the .csv or .htaccess file. We wouldn't pay for a tool without seeing results either!
Q: Monthly credits?
It seems like a nice and interesting service. When you launch tiers based on monthly credits, I'll make the jump. Do you have any plans for that?
