Lifetime Deal? More Like Limited Time Trial.
I signed up for a lifetime deal with specific features included — emphasis on lifetime. Now, out of nowhere, it’s $3.99/month to keep using what was originally promised. If I wanted a subscription, I’d have gone that route from the start. These surprise fees should be the company’s responsibility, not mine. Happy to revise my review once this mess is sorted. Also, @AppSumo should probably be looped in on this plot twist in the terms and conditions.

When you purchased your Lifetime Deal, we truly meant it — and we remain committed to honoring lifetime access to the platform and its core features. That hasn't changed.
What has changed, however, is the legal landscape. In December 2024, SMS-iT was included in an FCC compliance mandate (DA 24-1267) requiring us to meet strict regulatory standards for any communication services (Text, Voice, Fax) delivered through our platform — even for SIM-based or international numbers. These regulations came after our LTD launch and unfortunately carry real operational costs tied to identity verification, fraud monitoring, and 24-hour traceback response.
We didn’t want to pass this cost on to LTD users. We tried absorbing it through automation and internal restructuring — but compliance now requires human oversight, and that made it unsustainable for us to continue offering these communication services without a minimal per-number fee.
To be clear:
- You still have full lifetime access to the platform.
- The $3.99/month fee only applies to active numbers used for Text, Voice, or Fax.
- You can continue using all other platform features with no extra cost.
