Q: Copyright

Hi there - this looks like such a cool app! But I have an important question: How can we feel safe copyright wise? Isn’t the transcripts pulled into subscribr also covered by copyright? Especially when used in the connection with ones own commercial youtube channel?

A: Hi Victoria, thanks for your interest in Subscribr.

Subscribr uses YouTube transcripts for two purposes: 1) generating your channel voice, and 2) as research for your scripts.

For generating your channel voice, all we're doing is looking at the writing style characteristics. It is not copying the exact words and restating them as your own.

Similarly, for script research, transcripts are used as background information along with all of the other research sources you include. Then, a brand new script is created using the frame, outline, and writing style created by Subscribr. So it is completely new and original content.

Hope this explanation helps.
