That’s also why AppSumo recognizes that, in this case, an LTD isn’t a practical option.

I disagree, Nick. Sure, offering LTDs *permanently* may be unsustainable. But *temporarily* during your campaign here on AppSumo? It's perfectly feasible. Many SaaS do limited Early Bird LTDs. In fact, I'd argue that it'd even be more beneficial — you get a nice boost in upfront capital, loyal early adopters, and tons of traffic/marketing. It's all about "how" you strategically offer LTDs.

AppSumo limits responses, so in short: it’s high maintenance — e.g. when clients break their sites, we check what plugin caused it (not something most hosters do). Server costs are ongoing too, and people expect high uptime. Hosting isn’t your typical SaaS.
The offer’s actually strong: ~$1.60/site/month, and kind of lifetime since users can renew under the same conditions.
