Q: Lifetime Deal???
I am super disappointed that this is not a lifetime deal (and equally disappointed that AppSumo is veering away from what made it so special). Do you plan on adding any lifetime deals to the mix? I’m sure plenty of Sumolings (myself included) would be eager to buy!

The challenge with offering a lifetime deal is that it simply wouldn’t be economically sustainable—server costs are ongoing, and the service requires consistent maintenance to ensure high uptime. That’s also why AppSumo recognizes that, in this case, an LTD isn’t a practical option.
That said, when it’s time to renew after the first year, you’ll be able to continue with us directly under the same heavily discounted terms (less than $1.6 per site per month), so it’s still a fantastic deal!

@Taz it's obvious that if they continue with LTD's after every 2-3 years these startups will close down, similar to what happens to many others even now. I don't like it but it's a better sustainable model for the devs.
TazPLUSHi @jorgenicolas.cgi! Totally agree with you! But I've purchased many LTDs that are thriving years later. Developers come here to gather feedback, build a user base, and battle-test apps. In exchange for this info, Sumolings get LT access. Devs offering only annual plans feels like a sale at a retail store. Different motivations and value prop. Feels like an uneven exchange for Sumolings to me.
