Ready for education use

We’re using it for education. It’s front end chat is customisable. Allows system instruction, temp control and array of LLMs, besides just OpenAi, Google and Anthropic. Output is fast. Has chat history to see what others have asked (tier 7 only). We’ve compared it to about 15 other RAG systems, and choose TinyTalk. Gladly recommended.

Bravo Tiny Talk

In a time when great customer service feels like a thing of the past, it's refreshing to come across a company that still gets it right. I’ve tested a few AI chatbot tools here on AppSumo, and hands down—Tiny Talk is the best one I’ve used.

I had the bot up and running in about 20 minutes. No headaches, no guessing games. And while I won’t name names, let’s just say the other two apps I tried didn’t even bother responding to my support messages. Meanwhile, Oscar from Tiny Talk replied promptly, offered real help, and even followed up with links to guide me through customizing the bot after I connected it to my OpenAI account.

A really nice touch is that Tiny Talk gives you free credits to test things out before fully diving in. That kind of trust-building goes a long way. Oscar and I went back and forth over a few emails, and every response felt like he actually cared—something you don’t always get.

Functionality-wise, I’m super happy. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. No confusing node-based workflows—just upload your articles and URLs, train the bot, and personalize it with your branding. That’s it.

Honestly, I wish I had discovered this earlier and saved myself the time and frustration. But hey, it’s good to know there are still some true gems left on AppSumo!

Having used Tiny Talk for a couple of weeks, I am thoroughly impressed with its capabilities and ease of use. The platform offers robust functionalities, including an intuitive inbox that flags takeover requests with an orange marker, making it easier to manage customer interactions. Although there’s always room for improvement, Tiny Talk is actively working on new features like browser notifications, sound alerts, and email notifications to enhance user responsiveness.
The customer support is top-notch—special shoutout to Oscar, who is always quick to assist with any queries! The planned updates, including team collaboration tools for managing chatbot access, further solidify Tiny Talk as a forward-thinking solution.
One notable aspect is the WhatsApp integration, allowing businesses to handle conversations via the Help Desk. While WhatsApp users can’t explicitly request human support, the platform ensures smooth transitions by allowing agents to take over conversations and later assign them back to chatbots.
Though certain features, like enabling transition within WhatsApp, are limited by the application itself, Tiny Talk provides workarounds and continuously works on improvements. The requirement to delete your WhatsApp account before integrating is imposed by WhatsApp/Meta, but Tiny Talk offers alternatives like acquiring a dedicated business number through services like Bird.

Great Value and Covers a Lot for Small Businesses or Dedicated Services

As an AI product developer, I believe this is a valuable tool for quickly and easily integrating AI-powered self-service into websites.

Our initial focus was on its self-service, FAQ-based support, for which it definitely earns 5 tacos. While we haven't fully explored the lead generation and human handover features, they seem like useful additions.

The branding setup is effective, the webpage widgets are well-designed and functional, and the content/knowledge base integration is fast. The RAG and overall answer quality are good.

The Help Desk interface clearly shows client questions, highlighting areas for improving system prompts or adding knowledge.

Keep in mind that as the creator, designing a robust 'System Prompt' with appropriate guidelines and providing relevant knowledge is key to create good experiences.
